Finished Quilt Contest- From our Spring Shop Hop
This years quilt contest is done! Congrats to the winners, and we look forward to next years entries!
Entry Rules and Guidelines:
- Quilts must be finished- both quilted and bound- or they will not be eligible for entry.
-Entry pictures must be sent to the above email, with the correct subject line or they will not be eligible for entry.
- Entry pictures must be sent in a JPG format -your phone should do this automatically, so this is not a concern for most people.
- Entry Pictures must be sent in the correct format, with the correct subject line- by the day of the deadline. No late entry's.
-Each kit you received from the participating shops must be included in your finished quilts. The patterns and fabrics you received with the kit must be used- no swapping out fabrics you don't like!
-You are allowed to add, embellish, turn things on point, separate frames from centers, or even "Frankenstein" the block. Basically- we just need to be able to recognize each block without your help. If your worried about it- feel free to put an explanation in your entry email.

F.A.Q.'s
Q: Can I change the blocks?
A: Yes, and no- you are allowed to add, embellish, turn things on point, or separate aspects of them. You are not allowed to change the pattern, re-size them, or do things that generally make the block unrecognizable.
Q: I dislike one of the fabrics I received, can I swap it out?
A: No. you must use the fabrics you received in your kits. That's part of the challenge!
Q: Can I add other fabrics or blocks to my quilt layout?
A: YES! We encourage it! We want you to get creative with your layout- so feel free to add anything you'd like- so the only limitations are in the kits/free blocks themselves!
Q:How finished is finished?
A:Pieced, quilted, and bound!
Q:Can I turn the blocks on point?
A: Absolutely!
Q:I missed the deadline, can I still enter?
A: No- the deadline is hard. There will be another contest next year though (plus... you basically got a free quilt kit- so don't let it get you down!)
Q: I'm not sure if I sent the picture in the correct format, what do I do?
A: You should be able to look back at your sent e-mail, and see what format the photo sent in. If it was the wrong format- send it again as a JPG and let us know what happened. If your still not sure, ask a tech friendly friend or relative!
Q: How are the winners decided?
A:The winner of passengers choice is chosen with the Facebook contest itself- the entry with the most number of "likes" wins the $25 gift certificate to each shop!
The winner of conductors choice is chosen by popular vote amongst the participating shops- our favorite wins a $75 gift certificate to each shop!
Q: How do I know if my entry was received?
A: We will eventually respond to your entry email letting you know. However, this email is not regularly monitored, so there is no need to worry until the deadline approaches.
Q:What happens if I make a mistake?
A: What we require is that you use the kits provided by the store. If you goof up on a square or two and have to swap out fabric, well, technically you just added some. 😊
Q:What should I do if the store had an error in their instructions, or did not provide enough in the kit, and I need to use some of my own fabrics in the block?
A: Just provide an explanation regarding the substitution when you send in your entry. A close up picture of the block in question would also help.
Q: I found an error in one of the patterns, who do I contact?
A: Contact the store who passed out the pattern directly.
Q: I didn't receive enough fabric in one of my kits (or there was a fabric missing), what do I do?
A: Contact the store that gave you the kit directly, and they'll be able to help you!
